Join us for a monthly learning forum called JED talks (20-25 minute talks like TED talks; JED stands for “Jesus Encourages Dialogue”). Speakers will present on thoughtful, provocative topics to help us listen, learn and love, even when we disagree.
Next JED Talks: “Human Trafficking” (April 15, 2021)
Join us Thursday April 15th at 7:30 p.m., where Laura Ross will talk with us about the issue of human trafficking in Canada and, more locally, here in Ontario. Learn about what human trafficking is, how it can be identified and how it can be prevented. Laura will share personal stories about this issue and shed some light on what is currently being done here in the Cambridge and Waterloo Region.
Laura Ross is an advocate for survivors of sexual exploitation. She has worked with Beacon of Hope, Timea’s Cause, the Grainary, Elora House, and now SEEDS – Supporting Every Eve’s Daughter Safely.
