Maranatha Christian Reformed Church believes that salvation is
not earned or deserved but is a gift of God through the sacrificial
death of Christ on the cross for our sins. We believe that Jesus
rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven. We believe that Jesus
is the second person of the Trinity along with God, the Father and
God, the Holy Spirit.
We believe that God created the Heavens and the earth. We believe
that Jesus will come back to earth to gather His own to himself.
We believe that the Bible is God's inspired and infallible Word.
His word is designed to guide us in our daily lives. The Bible is
made up of 66 books containing the Old and New Testaments.
Maranatha Church also professes that six documents, three creeds
and three confessions, contain the best summary and interpretation
of the Bible. The three creeds are the Apostles’ Creed, the
Athanasian Creed, and the Nicene Creed. The three confessions are
the Belgic Confession, the Canons of Dort, and the Heidelberg Catechism.
These creeds and confessions can be accessed on-line by clicking
on the links to the left.
